Cuinn was born on November 16, 2001 at sometime between 5:10 and 6:50 in the morning. His registered name is Wabana's American Spirit with a call name of Cuinn (obviously).
Unfortunately when Cuinn was a little over 2 years old he began having seizures. We have never found the cause of Cuinn's seizures but I have learned that vaccine reactions are a very common cause of seizures in dogs between the ages of 2 and 4 years. Just another reason to watch that we don't over vaccinate our dogs. Cuinn's seizures are mostly controlled but he does tend to cluster which means that once he has one seizure he is apt to have repeated seizures during a 24 hour period; So one seizure triggers more seizures. He is now taking 100 mg. of Phenobarbital 2x/day and 375 mg. of Potassium Bromide 2x/day. He is our only neutered dog as we would never breed a dog with seizures and he is the only one of our dogs who has to wear "swimmies" in the water.
